Hello everyone! In order to manage my commissions a bit better I'm going to be accepting them through Google Forms. The aim is to no longer do first-come-first-serve since it always left a lot of people out when I opened at weird times.
Instead, I’m going to leave the forms open over a few days and anyone who wants to commission me is most welcome to send in their info anytime over that period! Only now, I’ll be a lot more selective over the commissions I accept.
I've always found it very difficult to say no to commissions especially as commissioners have always been so incredibly lovely. However, this has sometimes lead me to take on work where the idea/character just didn't quite gel with me. The result is usually a 'meh' piece of art that I'm not particularly proud of, even when I do try my best at capturing what the commissioner wanted. I really do want to make sure all the work I put out is at the highest quality possible and that'll only happen when things click!
So basically, if you're interested in a commission, do fill out the form and send it through! There are a few possible outcomes when you do.
If I accept it, it means I'm keen to go ahead with the commission and I'll be contacting you to arrange for payment, timelines and any questions I might have soon!
If you've been put on the waitlist, it means I would like to do your commission but either i) cannot start the process immediately (due to workload) or ii) still need to wait for the idea to fully click with me (which can sometimes take a bit of time!)
If I reject it, it means I will not complete your commission request. There might be several reasons for this e.g. I'm not comfortable drawing the character, the idea doesn't quite stick with me etc… Please don't be upset if I say no! I'm just trying to ensure a win-win situation where you don't waste your hard-earned cash and I don't waste my time making something we both won't like.
Send commission requests through the Google Forms only (requests made through other avenues will be ignored, but I will answer questions!)
If I accept your commission, you will be notified through your preferred method of contact and your name/commission status will be added to my commission queue.
If you have been accepted for the waitlist, you will be informed and added to my private waitlist. There’s no action required at this stage, you will be contacted again in a little while once I’m ready to start your commission.
Rejected requests will not receive a notification. If a week has passed and you have not received a message, and your name is not on my commission queue, this means I have not accepted your commission request.
There are a few things that are instant nos: NSFW, human characters, heavy urban/city backgrounds, anything implicitly or explicitly offensive/hateful.
But if you would like anything outside of those, then don't hesitate to send through a form! However, I reserve the right to reject any commission request without the need to provide a reason.
Visual character reference sheets are strongly preferred.
Payment is taken upfront in USD through Paypal. I will be sending the invoice to the email you’ve provided.
Please make sure you can make the payment within a week of confirmation for the commission.
If circumstances prevent you from making the payment within this time, please let me know and we can work something out!
I will accept partial or delayed payments as long as a specific reason and timeframe is given.
Refunds can be requested at any time, however full refunds are only issued before the commission has been started.
If progress has already been made prior to cancellation, a partial refund will be issued based on the amount of work already completed.
I will be providing a sketch WIP for approval prior to starting. Sketches may have some colour to indicate overall tone and values. Commissioners are encouraged to suggest changes they want made at this stage.
Once the sketch has been approved, it will normally take me about a week (sometimes less) to complete the whole drawing.
If I have any questions regarding the commission, I will message the commissioner to clarify. Please answer the questions as soon as you can to prevent delays in the process.
Note: I’m pretty strict about this since I prefer to maintain a consistent weekly upload schedule. If I don’t receive an answer in a timely fashion, I will proceed with the piece.
Commissioner may request additional WIPs at any stage throughout the creation process.
Commission status is regularly updated here.
Once the commission is completed, it will be uploaded onto a stash folder on Deviantart.
Both the final and full sized versions will be provided. Commissioners may request an unwatermarked version of the piece for personal use.
I am happy to correct errors I may have made in regards to character design (particularly if it was clearly indicated on the reference sheet but I somehow managed to overlook it).
Minor changes to other aspects of the commissioned piece are also acceptable. However, major additions or changes may incur further charges.
Commissioned piece will generally be posted on social media within a few days of completion (given that no changes are needed), along with the speedpaint
There is no guarantee that all commissions will come with a speedpaint.
Commissioner may post, upload and use the commissioned piece in anyway they want. Credits to the artist preferred (obviously).
I, as the artist, reserve full rights and ownership of the artwork. I reserve the right to repost, use and sell created art in digital or physical forms.
